In September 2023, the K-pop boy band Riize is scheduled to make their debut. Yet before the group’s debut could generate any interest, a scandal involving one of its seven members, Seunghan Hong, 19, became a hot topic of discussion.

Reportedly, he became embroiled in a horrible scandal after pictures of his teenage ex-girlfriend (whose identity is unknown) appeared online. The ex-couple is shown posing for the camera in pictures in an intimate setting.
While the ex-girlfriend’s face is obscured in the pictures, Seunghan Hong can be seen kissing her on a bed in one of them. Adding fuel to the already-burning flames, the rumor that the ex-girlfriend in question was underage at the time the photos were shot also went viral.
On August 30, 2023, he finally spoke up about the entire situation in a message that was posted to the group’s official Instagram account, @RIIZE. Once online users revealed rumors about his previous relationships, Seunghan apologized for the controversy that had been created around him.

Who is Seunghan Hong?
Seunghan Hong is an emerging South Korean singer. He has been in the news because he got involved in a scandal after pictures with his ex-girlfriend appeared online.
He was born in Ilsan, South Korea, on 2 October 2003. While not much is known about his family, it is known that he has an older brother who was born in 1998. Seunghan pursued his education at the Department of Applied Music at the School of Performing Arts in Seoul, South Korea.
Seunghan is currently 19 years old but his height isn’t known.
His career
Seunghan Hong received a casting offer from Perming Arts while leaving Seoul in his third year of middle school (SOPA). He trained for 2.5 years before SMROOKIES membership was made public in July 2022. Seunghan has since been a part of SM Entertainment.
He presently performs with the band Riize. The group debuted Memories, the “prologue single” from its upcoming debut EP Get A Guitar, on August 21, 2023. On 4th September 2023 at 6 p.m. KST, Get A Guitar, “The 1st Single Album,” will be made available.
