The FIBA World Cup 2023 is currently hosting the games across the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia.

The upcoming competition features 32 teams, with the final match set to take place on 10 September in the Mall of Asia Arena inn Manila.

FIBA World Cup 2023 format

The competition will begin with the first group phase featuring all the participants divided into eight groups of four teams. Following the end of the first round, the top two teams from each group will advance to the second round. This round will feature four groups of four teams where each team will play against the other two teams in their group that they did not face earlier. The bottom two teams from this round will then play classification matches to determine the final placings for 17-32.

After the second round, the top two finishing teams will then advance into the quarter-finals. This will be followed direct by direct knockouts in the semi-finals and the final. The competition will also serve team with Paris 2024 quotas. The top two teams from Europe and the Americas as well as the best-placed teams from Africa, Asia and Oceania will each win a Paris 2024 spot.
