As Premier League football finally returned after the two week international break, Chelsea and Leicester City got things underway. Both the clubs took on each other at the King Power Stadium, a showdown Chelsea made a foray in looking to safeguard their bastion atop of the points table.

However, the side dished out yet another clinical and professional performance as the club decimated Leicester City 3-0 on the day. Unperturbed by the lack of attacking options, Chelsea saw Antonio Rudiger and N’Golo Kante both score in the first half before Christian Pulisic completed the rout in the second half.

The win saw the club hammer its place atop of the league standings, a performance which left the Chelsea fans at the King Power Stadium in a joyous mood. The club’s supporters persistently broke out to sing the “we’ve got Super Tommy Tuchel” chant to serenade the electric work the German has done since taking charge of the club.
Although its still early in the 2021-22 season, Chelsea are already being touted as outright favourites to end up with the prestigious trophy under their arms owing to vibrant brand of football the club had deployed this term.
