Azeem Rafiq has since gone onto apologise for the anti-semitic messages he had sent which had emanated amidst the racial abuse report involving him and Gary Ballance
The last coupe of months have seen English cricket reeling under the brunt of the racism scandal involving Azeem Rafiq, Gary Ballance and Alex Hales.
Azeem who had played for Yorkshire had gone onto allege rampant racial abuse and discriminations at the club during his time with them with him providing testimony on what Gary Ballance and Alex Hales used to do. However, for some who claimed to be extremely miffed and hurt by the racism which was carried out, Azeem himself is far in the clear with messages coming out in the public of him mocking Jews.

“I am ashamed of this exchange and have now deleted it so as not to cause further offence,” Rafiq wrote.
“I was 19 at the time and I hope and believe I am a different person today.
“I am incredibly angry at myself and I apologise to the Jewish community and everyone who is rightly offended by this,” he continued.
It remains to be seen if the England and Wales Cricket Board will be taking any action of Azeem and his crass comments. The ECB has banned Yorkshire from hosting international matches over what it calls was a wholly unacceptable response from the team to the racism Rafiq was subjected to.
A string of sponsors have also pulled out of their deals with the club.
