Know about the Don 3 cast and release date
The famous filmmaker, Farhan Akhtar has almost given Don franchise fans what they wanted as he has teased the release of Don 3, but has also revealed that Shah Rukh Khan would not reprise his legendary titular role in the threequel.

The 49-year-old star took to social media platforms such as X, formerly known as Twitter and Instagram on Tuesday to share this good news with his fans.
Khan shared a 35-seconds preview video on the social media. Although his post lacked a caption, the teaser did the rest of the talking. It focused attention on the number ‘3’ written in the center of the screen. The font and style of the figure are uncannily similar. If there were any unturned stones, the background music sounded like a faint repetition of the Don title track, ‘Main Hoon Don.’
Soon after posting the video, the post of the star was flooded with comments of fans as well as celebrities and other famous brands. Even the official account of IMDb also joined in as it quipped “11 mulkon ki police want to know the release date.” No official release date has een given now.
Meanwhile, famous filmmaker and Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar also expressed excitement in the comment section as she penned, “Boom.”
After this post, hours later, Farhan took to Twitter and issued a lengthy message confirming that a new actor will carry on Don’s legacy. The note reads “Joining us in this new interpretation will be an actor whose talent and versatility I have long admired. We hope that you will show him the love you have so graciously and generously shown to Mr. Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.”
However, the introduction of the ‘new age’ sparked a controversy on the internet. Many advised others to reconsider because Shah Rukh’s Don was an approved remake of Amitabh’s 1978 gangster flick Don.
As per media reports, Ranveer Singh is likely to replace Shah Rukh in the titular character and Don 3 will be produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment but the remaining cast isn’t known. It will be written and directed by Farhan, who will return to that turf over 12 years after Don 2 and the first two instalments of the gangster thriller franchise, Don (2006) and Don 2 (2011), starred Shah Rukh and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.
“Wow, such negative comments about Don3 not featuring SRK,” one user remarked in the comments area. The Original Don premiered at the Sydney Film Festival earlier this year. I’ve yet to hear a version of the original Don (with Big B) that comes close. Farhan and team, keep trying; you could get close this time.”
