Telangana folk singer Vimalakka paid tribute to the late vocalist Sai Chand and warmly recalled their shared memories. She expressed grief to the media about Sai Chand’s untimely death and recalled their stage collaboration during the Malidasha Telangana movement, where they sang several songs together.
Vimalakka also recalled a previous event in which Sai Chand suffered a heart attack at a meeting in Khammam in 2010. She went on to say that doctors were able to save him.
She claimed she used to warn him about the importance of caring for his health. She regretted the loss of a magnificent Telangana singer and expressed her sorrow that he died before realising his potential as a great leader. Vimalakka recalled Sai Chand’s prior engagement with their team in Arunodaya fondly.
Who is Sai Chand?
Sai Chand was born in September 1984 in Amarchinta Village, Wanaparthy District, Telangana. Chand had completed his post-graduation and was married to Bahumathi. The couple was blessed with two children.
He was a well-known singer and the Chairman of the Telangana Warehousing Corporation. He was also one of the prominent student leaders of the second Telangana state movement. He had a heart attack in the early hours of the morning at his farmhouse.
The whole BRS leadership has expressed their condolences. Both BRS Supremo and CM KCR were shocked at Sai Chand’s death.

Sai Chand’s Untimely Death
On Thursday, Sai Chand tragically died owing to a heart arrest, at Care Hospital in Banjara Hills.
According to reports, Sai Chand became unwell while visiting his farmhouse at Karukonda, which is located in the Bijinepalli Mandal of Nagar Kurnool. Concerned for his health, his family hurried him to a neighbouring private hospital for treatment.
However, his condition worsened and required him to be transferred to Care Hospitals in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. Despite the greatest efforts of the medical professionals, Sai Chand died while receiving treatment.
