Beginning on October 5 in Ahmedabad, the 10-team competition will feature England, the defending champion, taking on New Zealand, who finished second in 2019.
On October 15, India and Pakistan will meet each other in a ferocious rivalry at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. For the third consecutive year, the two teams will play each other at an ICC event in October; their previous meetings took place in the T20 World Cups of 2021 (UAE) and 2022 (Australia).
Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Kolkata, and Delhi are the nine cities where The Men in Blue will face each of its opponents.
On November 11 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, India will face the second qualifier from the ODI World Cup Qualifiers competition in its last group-stage game. India will serve as the tournament’s host for the fourth time, following 1987, 1996, and 2011. For the first time ever, India will serve as the sole host of the men’s ODI World Cup; in previous events, it served as a co-host.
Mumbai and Kolkata will host the semifinals on November 15 and November 16, respectively, and Ahmedabad will host the championship on November 19.
Pakistan’s match will take place at Eden Gardens if it advances to the semifinals. India will play in Mumbai if it advances to the semifinals, unless it faces Pakistan, in which case the second semifinal will be played at Eden Gardens.
