Highest paid F1 driver in 2023

Currently Max Verstappen from Red Bull racing is the highest paid driver in F1. This comes as no surprise, as the Dutch driver is the current back-to-back World Drivers’ Champion.

Verstappen secured a new deal with his team last year in March, signing a five-year contract extension. The 25-year-old reportedly earns an annual salary of $55million with the new contract running till 2028.

After signing his new contract extension last year, Verstappen said:

I really enjoy being part of Red Bull Racing, so choosing to stay to the 2028 season was an easy decision. I love this team and last year was simply incredible. Our goal since we came together in 2016 was to win the championship and we have done that, so now it’s about keeping the number one on the car long-term.”
