Lakshya Sen qualified for the second-round of the 2023 Indonesia Open after defeating eighth-seeded Lee Zii Jia by the score of 21-17, 21-13. Meanwhile, Kidambi Srikanth emerged victorious with scores of 21-13, 21-19 to secure his berth in the next round. It is confirmed that Lakshya Sen will face-off against Srikanth on Thursday with a spot in the quarterfinal at stake.

Elsewhere, Priyanshu Rajawat received a walkover from Kunlavut Vitidsarn, as the Thai superstar decided to withdraw considering his shoulder injury from last week. Among other second-round matches of Thursday, PV Sindhu will play against arch-rival Tai Tzu-ying and HS Prannoy is scheduled to play against Ng Ka Long Angus. 2023 Indonesia Open: prize money distribution

Since the Indonesia Open is a BWF Super 1000 event, each singles champion will get $87,500 from the $1,200,000 total prize pool. After losing against Indian prodigy Lakshya Sen in the first-round, Malaysian Lee Zii Jia will receive $1250 as prize money. Additionally, it is known that each semi-final loser will earn $17,500 compared to the $42,500 reward of singles category runner-up.
