2023 Singapore Open day 5 schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & semi-final draw
Anders Antonsen of Denmark defeated Chinese Taipei’s Chia Hao Lee, the 42nd-ranked player in the world, 12-21, 21-13, 21-11, on Friday to qualify for the semi-final of the 2023 Singapore Open. Kodai Naraoka of Japan will be the next opponent for the 2019 European Champion as the Japanese ace easily defeated Shi Yu Qi 21-14, 21-16. After winning their Friday matches, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Kunlavut Vitidsarn will square off in the other men’s semi.
In the women’s singles semifinal match, top-ranked Japanese shuttler Yamaguchi Akane will take against Chinese shuttler Chen Yu Fei. Chen advanced by winning in consecutive games, 21-18, 21-15, over Supanida Katethong. In an all-Japanese quarterfinal, Yamaguchi defeated Aya Ohori 21-18, 19-21, 21-16. An Se Young, the second-ranked player in the world, and Tai Tzu Ying, the third-ranked player, will face off in the other women’s singles semifinal.

2023 Singapore Open: prize money distribution
Each singles champion will receive $59,500 from the $850,000 total prize pool because the Singapore Open is a BWF Super 750 tournament. Compared to the $11,900 in prize money awarded to each semi-final loser, the singles category runner-up is predicted to earn $28,900. Following their heartbreaking defeat in the women’s doubles quarterfinal, second-seed Nami Matsuyama & Chiharu Shida will earn approximately $5,312 as prize money.
