Sergio Aguero needed to be tended for some minutes on the pitch during Barcelona’s 1-1 game against Alaves on Saturday, know what has happened to his heart
Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero reportedly experienced chest discomfort during the team’s La Liga fixture against Alaves on October 30, 2021 at the Camp Nou. The match ended 1-1 with Aguero taken off after being looked at by the medical team for several minutes on the pitch.
The Argentinian striker also complained about feeling dizzy and gestured to the bench, just before he went down clasping his chest before the half-time whistle.
Soon after the medical team attended to him, Aguero was taken off the pitch and rushed to the hospital for a cardiac analysis. It was Philippe Coutinho who came in as a substitution for the 33-year old striker. Thankfully, Aguero was able to get back on his feet with the help of the medics’ assistance. This was the striker’s first start for the Blaugrana side ever since he moved from Manchester City in the summer.
