What Exactly Happened in Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 9
Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, displayed incredible skill in his fight against the upper-moon demon Gyokko in episode 9 of Season 3 of Demon Slayer. Due to Muichiro’s relentless pressure, Gyokko has evolved into a more powerful form. But Muichiro was unaffected, and his mockery of Gyokko set him off.
Because of his history, Muichiro hardened his determination, strengthened his body, and honed his Mist Breathing Technique, allowing him to resist Gyokko’s attacks and ultimately severe his head.
Muichiro was unable to continue fighting after defeating Gyokko because he had been poisoned. He found out much later that Kotetsu was still around. The hilt of Rengoku Kyojuro, which Tanjiro gave him to serve as the hilt of his new sword, saved his life. This brought back memories of Rengoku and his supportive family for Muichiro. The episode’s final panel flashed back to the fight between Tanjiro, Nezuko, Genya and Zohakuten. Against Zohakuten’s wood dragons, they were utterly outclassed.
When the Zohakuten’s wood dragon was about to eat Tanjiro, Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji, suddenly appeared and rescued him. Mitsuri, the episode’s antagonist, sprinted toward the end credits, where he furiously attacked the wooden dragon Zohakuten.
