Ahead of the tournament, the BCCI announced the emerging squad for upcoming the tournament on Friday (June 2).
While speaking at the release, BCI officials stated:
The All India Women’s Selection Committee on Friday announced the India ‘A’ (Emerging) squad for the upcoming ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023”.
ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023 teams and format
The upcoming ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023 will feature eight teams divided into two groups. India ‘A’ is placed in Group A alongside hosts Hong Kong, Thailand ‘A’ and Pakistan ‘A’.
The tournament will begin with a single round robin stage, following which the top two teams from both groups will progress to the knockout round. The knockout round includes the semifinals and the final. The semifinals will take place on June 19, while the final match will take place on June 21.
ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023 venue and start date
All the matches of the upcoming ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023 will take place at the Mission Road Ground in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The group stage are set to begin on June 12.
