This year’s FIBA 3×3 World Cup marks the eighth edition of the competition and is currently underway in Vienna, Austria.

20 of the best men’s and women’s teams each are battling it out to win the title of world champions.

2023 FIBA 3×3 World Cup format

Prior to the start of the tournament, all the qualified teams were divided into four pools of five teams each. The organizers seeded the teams based on their 3×3 Federation Ranking.

In the first round, each team will play against the other teams in their pools. Following which, the winner of the groups will then advance straight into the quarterfinals. The second and third-placed teams in the pools will then compete play against each other where the winner earns a quarterfinal berth.

The competition will then go into direct knockouts for the quarterfinal and semi-final rounds. Four teams – two men’s and two women’s – will be the only teams left for the final round.
