In the ninth episode of Skip and Loafer, Mitsumi is getting ready to spend her summer break at home with her family. Mitsumi promptly returned to her hometown, where she greeted her loved ones and distributed gifts. Later, during lunchtime, Mitsumi was seen with her grandmother. The next scene took place later that night, with Mitsumi sleeping next to her sister when the phone rang and revealed that it was Fumi.
Mitsumi answered the phone and arranged to meet Fumi that night. Fumi finally told Mitsumi about her date with the boy she had been hinting at all along as they strolled toward the temple to greet their other old acquaintances.
