He is a 4x World Champion in Combat Sambo (FIAS & WCSF) and also an International Master of Sport.

Ikram Aliskerov UFC career

Aliskerov is a relatively unknown fighter who has been highly touted for quite some time recently. Following a standout performance on the Contender Series Season 6, Aliskerov made joined the UFC. On his debut night, Ikram took out Mario Sousa with a Kimura lock in the first round itself.

He then took on Phil Hawes at UFC 288, where Ikram showed off his striking prowess. The Dagestani fighter knocked out Hawes within the very first round. Following the win, he went to call out fellow middleweight and rising prospect, Bo Nickal.

He stated:

Hey Bo Nickal, I heard you said you wanted to fight with a Dagestani guy. Brother, I am here. I am waiting. He said he want to fight with Dagestani guy. I’m here. We need to see whose wrestling is better.”

Before making an appearance on the Contender Series, Aliskerov also featured at Eagle FC and Brave CF. So far, Aliskerov has a total MMA record of 14-1, with 10 knockout wins. His single loss came at the hands of Khamzat Chimaev who delivered a devastating KO on the Dagestani fighter at Brave CF 23.

Interestingly, after the fight, Chimaev called Ikram as the toughest opponent of his career despite his KO win. Ever since his loss, Aliskerov has racked up 6 consecutive wins with 5 of them being knockouts.
