A fight erupted in the stands between Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard during Suns vs Lakers at the Staples Center
Defeated in six preseason games and losing both of their opening two contests of the NBA 2021 season, its clear that all is not well within the Los Angeles Lakers camp at the moment.
More worrying for the side though then its underwhelming performances is the team’s comradery though. The side’s defeat to the Suns at the Staples Center alluded towards all not being well within the side as Anthony Davis and Dwight Howard were seen bickering with each other as the Lakers regressed on the court.
Anthony Davis Tries To Underplay Fight With Dwight Howard During Suns vs Lakers
The scuffle between the two wasn’t limited to only words though with both getting involved in a shoving match as players were required to intervene in a bid to refrain things from turning sour. While the entire set of events were extremely unpleasant to watch, Howard, Davis and the Lakers tried to underplay the entire situation in the aftermath of the Lakers 115-105 defeat.
“Just a pick and roll scene… that was it, you know, I’m gonna say man I’m trying to figure, not just me and him, but all of us trying to figure out the defensive end and something happened and I was saying one thing and he was saying another on the scheme and one thing led to another and like I said we talked about it and left it in the lockerroom at halftime.
“Y’all can look at it, how y’all want to look at it, I mean that’s on y’all. But you know in house what we do in the locker room what we say, you know we keep it to ourselves like I said after the situation happened me and DH we talked about it and left it with that,” Davis said when asked to comment on what had led to the beef between him and Howard.
