There are still four NBA teams with a chance to take home the title. The Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers are awaiting in the East, leaving the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat as the only two remaining teams.

This year’s NBA Playoffs in 2023 were full of unexpected surprises. The Denver Nuggets playing in the championship game is expected given that they are the top seed in the Western Conference. But the Lakers recovered from a difficult start to the season with an outstanding climb, spearheaded by LeBron James.

The Celtics make the most sense as an Eastern Conference participant. Despite losing to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals of 2022, they were able to progress further in the draw thanks to their consistency.

It is somewhat unexpected for the Heat to be in the running despite the fact that they were the eighth seed. Two of these four teams will compete in the next round.

When are the NBA Finals 2023?

There is a schedule in place for the last series which is already set. Regardless of when each Conference Final ends, these are the crucial dates to keep in mind over the next two weeks.

On June 1st, 2023, the NBA Finals will start. Teams will play every three days, with the exception of the two-day break in between games three and four. The much awaited game 7 is set for June 18 on Sunday.

  • Game 6: Thursday, June 15 – 8:30 PM (ET) *
  • Game 7: Sunday, June 18 – 8 PM (ET) *

Meanwhile, the Lakers have a very challenging task ahead of them if they want to tie things up with a 0-3 series deficit and on the other hand, Miami Heat is up 3-0 and just one win away from the NBA Finals.
