After winning the main event at UFC Vegas 72, Song Yadong reportedly received a $350,000 confirmed purse along with a $100,000 win bonus. Yadong also received a Performance of the Night bonus, bringing in an additional $50,000. In the main event on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Song defeated Ricky Simon in the fifth round to win an additional $50,000 for winning Performance of the Night. At the UFC Apex, Caio Borralho, Rodolfo Vieira, & Marcus McGhee also received performance awards.

UFC Vegas 72 full fight card winner and results
In Saturday night’s main fight of UFC Vegas 72 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Song Yadong’s boxing proved to be too much for Ricky Simon. Since the opening bell, the Chinese bantamweight has been landing blows mercilessly. In the first round, the bantamweight nearly finished Simon with a guillotine choke, but the Oregonian was able to escape.
Simon was badly damaged in the last seconds of the fourth round before the bell saved him as Song continued to stop all takedown attempts throughout the fight and force Simon to pay on the feet. In the final round, Song retaliated for the knockout, felling Simon once more and pummeling him with punches until referee Herb Dean determined enough was enough.
