On the 21st of August in 2022, Sampath got married to Chaithanya Bharadwaj, who is an employee at the Karnataka Bank in Bengaluru, India. Before Sampath got married to his wife Chaithanya Bharadwaj and he dated her for 3 years. She is currently five months pregnant. Sampath J Ram was a bike lover and he owned an Apache RTR 160 and a Royal Enfield classic 350.

In 2023, after Sampath’s demise, Rajesh Dhruva, who is a director of the 2023 Kannada film ‘Shri Balaji Photo Studio,’ uploaded a picture on social media, and in the caption of the post he has written, ‘Hey son, we don’t have strength for bearing your separation. So many movies have to be done. So much quarrel is left.”
