Williamson injury History
The New Zealand skipper had a recurring shoulder injury in July this year as well which made him withdraw from ECB’s inaugural edition of the ‘Hundred’ and forced him to miss a test match against England.
This injury can be traced back to 2019 when New Zealand played against Bangladesh and Kane injured his left shoulder while diving in the field in the first innings. He had felt pain while batting following which some scans were done which revealed that he had suffered a grade one tear to his left pectoral minor muscle. It was an injury which Gary Stead said had been seen only 5 times worldwide.
