French footballer Benjamin Mendy is all set to stay in jail till the date of the hearing of his s*xual assault case after was denied bail once again
The problems are refusing to reduce for disgraced French defender Benjamin Mendy.
After he was first picked up on charges of sexual assault with three girls accusing him of rape in 2020 whilst the one level the allegation earlier in 2021, a slew of images and videos have come to the light of the defender.
A video alleged to be on Mendy in jail made its way to the internet as well with Manchester City finally deciding to distance itself from the player. After allowing Mendy to partake in matches despite knowing of the cases against him in 2020 and 2021, the Premier League club finally suspended Mendy after he was denied bail twice by a court in the UK.
Benjamin Mendy To Stay In Jail As Third Bail Plea Is Rejected
Mendy who is currently housed in a jail in the country ahead of his court date has seen a third bail plea be rejected.
The player who was arrested in August saw a fresh bail plea be rejected by the Chester Crown Court ensuing a 50 minute hearing. The 27 year old who joined City back in 2017 for a staggering $71 million will continue to be held in remand at the HMP Altcourse in Liverpool.
Mendy along with Gylfi Sigurdsson were dropped from FIFA 22 after the police opened investigations into both in different sexual misconduct cases. Recently, Brighton’s Yves Bissouma was arrested from a nightclub in Brighton after being accused of assault.
