A spectator in the grandstand managed to get a video of the incident, which shows a man jumping up and tackling the purple dinosaur cheerleader while he was dancing atop a dugout to get the fans excited.

The spectator who filmed the clip had the impression that the individual was under the influence of alcohol, and he captioned the clip with the words “Boooo, drunk guy.” [Love] you, Dinger!” Despite this, the Denver Police Department has just announced that they are looking into the incident as part of an ongoing investigation into an assault case.

“We are working with our partners at the Colorado Rockies to identify the suspect,” a DPD spokesperson said. “We take this type of incident very seriously, and anyone who witnessed the attack or has information on the suspect is urged to come forward.”

There have been no arrests made as of this moment, and it is unknown whether the individual who was wearing the mascot costume had any injuries. The Rockies have not made any statements regarding this matter that have been made public.
