The critically injured software entrepreneur Bob Lee appeared to be asking for assistance in the surveillance video dying seconds
IT CEO Bob Lee appears to approach a parked automobile in need of immediate medical attention while clutching the side of his body where he is profusely bleeding from stab wounds. The 43-year-old father of two pulls his shirt to demonstrate the severity of his wounds to the driver, but instead of offering assistance, the car accelerates away.

Apparently, video shows that Bob Lee still had his watch and his phone, which he used to call 911 after being stabbed.
That greatly points to this being a hit and not a robbery or random stabbing.

"We don't know all the facts…But I find it premature and distasteful to try to fit this horrifying act of violence into a preconceived narrative and use it to advance a political agenda." pic.twitter.com/6fDB5VD1pQ

Journalists from The San Francisco Standard saw CCTV footage of Lee’s last terrible moments as he walked down Main St in San Francisco’s downtown core at 2.30 am on Tuesday in need of assistance. He was found at 2.35 a.m. outside a posh apartment complex on Main Street’s 300 blocks, close to Rincon Hill and the Bay Bridge.
What does the video show?
The first scene in the video depicts Lee strolling along Main Street’s vacant sidewalk while holding his side with the other hand, according to The Standard. The creator of Cash App then makes a U-turn at Harrison St. to head in the direction of a white Toyota Camry with flashing lights that are parked there.
According to the clip, Lee raises his shirt in a cry for aid before falling to the ground as the car drives away. Lee then stands up and begins to walk backwards along Main Street towards the Bay Bridge before falling down once more in front of the Portside apartment complex at 403 Main Street. According to The Standard, staff personnel were seen washing what seemed to be blood off the building’s side on Wednesday.
In a statement, the San Francisco Police Department reported that at 2.35 am on Tuesday, they discovered Lee on the 300 block of Main Street with serious injuries. He received treatment on the spot but subsequently passed away in a hospital from his injuries.
No official responses yet.
Authorities have not yet made an arrest in the case or declared that they have a suspect in mind. They have not yet indicated whether they think it was a targeted murder.
In a memorial published on Facebook on Wednesday, Lee’s father Rick Lee expressed his sorrow over the passing of his “best friend.” Friends of Lee, also known as ‘Crazy Bob’, have conjectured that the murder may have been the result of a random act in a city where a rise in muggings and robberies prompted the recall of progressive District Attorney Chesa Boudin last year.
The senseless slaying has caused a stir in San Francisco’s tech scene, where Mr Lee was well-known and well-liked for his 20 years of service at Google, as chief technology officer of Square, as chief product officer of MobileCoin, as well as an angel investor and serial entrepreneur.
After Mr Lee was killed, Elon Musk urged San Francisco DA Brooke Jenkins to prosecute violent repeat offenders more harshly.
