2023 Interwetten International Darts Open first-round results, score, day 2 schedule, venue, draw, & playing line-up
Alan Soutar won his match against Jeroen Mioch by a score of 6-4 to start Friday’s play, and Steve Lennon defeated Andy Boulton by the same margin to earn his first European Tour victory of 2023. Clemens was one of four German athletes to win on Day One in Riesa, joining 18-year-old Liam Maendl-Lawrance, Niko Springer, and Florian Hempel in doing so. Gilding defeated two-time TV title winner Daryl Gurney in another match to record his first big win since UK Open and qualify for the next round. In a thrilling match, five-time World Champion Van Barneveld defeated Stephen Burton 6-3 to secure his own berth in the next round.
After hitting five 180s to defeat Finnish rookie Paavo Myller in his opening match, European Champion Smith will face incumbent champion Gerwyn Price in a star-studded second round match. On Saturday, the second round of the tournament will include the 16 seeded players, including top seed Van Gerwen, the reigning champion Price, & world No. 1 Smith. 2023 International Darts Open: prize money pool distribution
An estimated $175,000 will be given away in prizes during the 2023 International Darts Open. The winner of this competition will receive £30,000, and the runner-up will receive £12,000. Each participant who lost their first-round match on Friday will receive £1,250.
