Spy Classroom season 2 release date prediction update and renewal status
As previously stated, Studio Feel has not yet renewed Spy Classroom for season 2, so what are the chances that the anime will return for a second mission?
The majority of modern anime renewals are typically determined by two factors: the availability of source material from an original light novel or manga series, and the popularity of the franchise as a whole.
On the one hand, there is easily enough source material to produce a second season of Spy Classroom, with episode 12 expected to adapt up until the end of light novel volume 2.
The good news Is that not only have nine complete Tankobon light novel volumes been published in Japan, but the series is still ongoing, which means that more content will be made available in the future.
Furthermore, the anime debuted at the same time as the original series’ sales increased, with more than 1.1 million copies in circulation by February 23, 2023.
Overall, it should only be a matter of time before Spy Classroom is officially renewed for a second season, with an early prediction of a January 2024 release date based on the roughly 10-month production cycle from season 1.
