Satwiksairaj received Arjuna Award for his gameplay in badminton in August 2020. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty both played a crucial role in earning India a gold medal during Commonwealth Games in 2018. This duo also won the men’s doubles silver medal.
Satwiksairaj and Chirag in 2019, became the first Indian doubles duo who won the BWF Super series title. Rankireddy and Chirag lost to Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan from Indonesia in Yonex Thailand Open’s second round in 2020. Satwiksairaj and Chirag Shetty competed at Summer Olympics 2020, but they got eliminated later on.
In 2022, both Rankireddy and Shetty begin their year by winning the Indian Open. The duo won their first-ever BWF World Super 750 title in the French Open by beating Chinese Taipei pair Lu Ching-Yao and Yang Po-Han in the finals. During Asia Team Championships in 2016 and 2020, he won a bronze medal.
