The former second-round pick will miss two seasons in a row as a result of this therapy, missing the whole 2023–24 season.

Before the 2022–23 NBA season started, Ball gave an update and said that his knee injury stopped him from sprinting or jumping. In a September 2022 interview, he disclosed this.

I can’t run or jump. So, it’s like a range from like, 30-60 degrees on my knees bent that I have no force and I can’t catch myself,” Ball said.
“I can’t play.”

Lonzo Ball return date

The ongoing debate around Lonzo Ball’s knee condition was heightened this week by the revelation that he would undergo another treatment.

It is believed that Ball will be able to begin his career after he recovers from the treatment, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, who broke the news first. While a return date isn’t known as of yet, he is likely to be out through 2024.

Ball will most likely miss the entirety of the 2023–24 season, and by the time he plays again, he will have missed more than two seasons. Before being forced to quit, Ball played in just 35 games the previous season.

According to Wojnarowski, the statement came after an ESPN report from the previous week that claimed Ball was considering getting the procedure or not.

Will Lonzo Ball be able to return to the court successfully?

After suffering with a great deal of uncertainty over his knee for the past two seasons, the most recent information gives Lonzo Ball some hope.

Although he battled knee problems throughout his career, he had never missed an entire season prior to this one.

In actuality, there was a lot of speculation over Ball’s knee at first. The young guard’s return for this season was a topic of interest among fans, but the Chicago Bulls’ coaching staff kept its cards close to its chest and provided scant details.

Ball seems to have faced more challenges than most other players in his road to recovery from injury. In the modern NBA, players have consistently shown that they can quickly recover from serious injuries.

In January 2022, Ball underwent surgery on the knee to repair a torn meniscus and in September 2022, after enduring a painful summer attempting to rehab the knee, he underwent an arthroscopic debridement aimed at treating a nerve problem and clearing debris.
