2023 All England Open: BWF points award system

A total of 12,000 BWF points would be awarded to each All England champion, with around 10,200 points going to each category’s runner-up. On the opening day, experienced shuttlers like Nozomi Okuhara and Ratchanok Intanon crashed out from the competition with only 3,000 BWF points after their first-round elimination.

With the $900,000 total prize pool, each singles category winner at the prestigious BWF Super 1000 All England Open will get $87,500. In contrast to the semi-final losers’ $17,500 prize money, the women’s singles runners-up will get $42,500. Owing to their dismal first-round eliminations, Nozomi Okuhara and Ratchanok Intanon have left the All England Open with only $1,250 in prize money.
