On 10th March, the LLC Masters 2023 kicked-off with an epic clash featuring India Maharajas vs Asia Lions, which the latter won by nine runs after an intense contest. Although India Maharajas started strong by taking quick wickets, Misbah-ul-Haq’s 73-run innings helped the Lions establish 165 runs on the scoreboard at the end of twenty overs.
In response, Maharajas batted well but could only muster a total of 156, which saw them lose the all-important first game of the tournament. For the Maharajas, Gautam Gambhir scored 54 runs but, Sohail Tanvir’s three-wicket spell put a brake on their momentum. With 25 runs required from the final two overs, India Maharajas succumbed to the pressure and could only register 15 runs.
