Pat Cummins is a well-known Australian international cricketer. He has been in the news because his mother, Marie, passed away recently.
His full name is Patrick James Cummins. He was born on May 8, 1993, in Westmead, New South Wales, Australia. His father’s name is Peter Cummins, and his mother’s name is Maria Cummins. He also has two brothers named Matt and Tim and two sisters named Laura and Kara.
Pat Cummins did his schooling at St. Paul’s Grammar School. Later, he got enrolled at the University of Technology, Sydney, where he graduated with a bachelor’s in business degree.
He is married, and his wife’s name is Becky Boston. The couple also becomes the parents of one son.

Pat Cummins started out playing cricket for the Blue Mountains’ Glenbrook-Blaxland Cricket Club before transferring to the Penrith District Cricket Club in 2010. In the same year, he competed for New South Wales in both the NSW Under-19 team and the National Under-17 championships.
In March 2011, when he was 17 years old, he made his NSW first-class debut against Tasmania. He was given a contract by Cricket Australia in June 2011. In October 2011, he made his international debut for Australia against South Africa in three One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) games.
In November 2011, at the age of 18 years, Pat Cummins made his Test debut, marking Australia’s youngest Test cricketer since Ian Craig in 1953. Throughout his career, he has dealt with injuries, missing a lot of games because of stress fractures in his back.
Nonetheless, Cummins has shown himself to be one of Australia’s most reliable and consistent bowlers. In January 2019, he was named vice-captain of the Australian Test squad and subsequently became a captain in 2021.
