Thanks to their golden Wednesday, Haryana overtook the hosts Madhya Pradesh to sit second in the medal tally of Khelo India Youth Games with total 75 medals including 28 gold medals. Meanwhile, Maharashtra are still at the top with 112 medals that include 39 gold medals.

Judokas from Chandigarh stole the show on Wednesday at the Khelo India Youth Games in Bhopal by winning three gold & one bronze medal. Sapna won the gold medal in the Girls’ 40 kg competition, while Angel Yadav triumphed in the Girls’ 44 kg. Himanshu won gold in the Boys’ 55 kg competition, and Divyansh Kataria won bronze in the Boys’ 50 kg competition. Through additional victories in judo and wrestling on Thursday, Chandigarh will want to increase their medal total and climb the rankings.
Haryana faced-off against Bihar in the first semifinal game for the Girls’ division and managed a one-sided 70-15 victory in their favor to qualify for the final. In the other semi-final of Girls’ category, Maharashtra secured victory against Himachal Pradesh by score of 44-31. In the first semifinal for Boys’ category, Delhi defeated Rajasthan by a score of 36-34. Haryana prevailed against Maharashtra 50-35 in the second semi-final, securing their berth in the championship match.
Cycling will be the first event on Thursday at 7:00 AM, while hockey will be the final action of the day at 2:00 PM. The same day will also feature exciting tennis and kabaddi matches for the fans.
