In the first innings of the Ranji Trophy quarterfinal match against Madhya Pradesh, the right-handed batsman injured his wrist while batting. He stunned the audience in the second inning by launching a one-handed reverse shot for a boundary.

Since the Andhra captain is batting while dealing with a broken wrist, Hanuma Vihari has been taking centre stage for his heroics in the Ranji Trophy. Vihari was hurt in the first innings while attempting to block a bouncer. He batted left-handed against Madhya Pradesh when he came back to the plate. Vihari returned to the field and continued to bat in the second innings despite his pain.
Vihari not only batted well, but he also played a spectacular shot that captured the hearts of the crowd. At 76/9, Andhra was in trouble and needed every run to stay alive. Vihari made the decision to enter the game and continued to use his left hand.

Vihari struck spinner Saransh Jain for back-to-back boundaries in the 31st over. He played a reverse stroke with one hand to send the ball across the boundary ropes for the second boundary, which was a unique one. Vihari’s crucial contribution allowed Andhra to surpass the 90-run threshold and score a total of 93 runs. Madhya Pradesh, who is attempting to reach a target of 245, concluded the day with a score of 58/0. With 180 overs remaining, the defending Ranji Trophy champions may reach their goal with all 10 of their wickets in hand.
They will take their time and are not rushing. To win the match and advance to the semi-final, Andhra has to take 10 wickets. If Andhra advance to the next round, Vihari has been eliminated from the season and will not play in the championship game. Vihari is not in the IPL and will now be out for a considerable amount of time. Surprisingly, the right-handed batter was left off the Test team for the trip to Bangladesh last year.
