2023 Thailand Masters men’s singles second-round schedule, date, venue, fixtures, & second-round draw
On Wednesday, first-round matches of the 2023 Thailand Masters was played and despite the absence of top-ranked stars, Indian shuttlers achieved mixed results. In his tie against sixth-seed Li Shifeng, sixth-seed Sameer Verma suffered straight-set defeat by score of 14-21, 16-21. Meanwhile, Priyanshu Rajawat succumbed to loss against Korean star Heo Kwang-hee after an intense contest that ended 21-14, 19-21, 25-27.
Elsewhere, Indian star Sai Praneeth secured straight-set victory by score of 21-13, 21-14 against Christophersen to begin his journey at the Thailand Master. Among other matches of Wednesday, Kiran George emerged victorious in his clash against Lee Chia-hao after a hard-fought clash that ended 21-17, 19-21, 23-21 in his favor. It is confirmed that Kiran will face-off against third-seed Lee on Thursday with a spot in the quarterfinal at stake.

2023 Thailand Masters: BWF points award system
According to the BWF Points System, the winner of the 2023 Thailand Masters will receive 7,000 BWF points as opposed to the runner-up, who would receive 5,950. Following his first-round exit from the 2023 Thailand Masters, Indian youngsters Mithun Manjunath and Sameer Verma have crashed out with only 1,670 BWF points as this is a BWF Super 300 tournament.

2023 Thailand Masters: prize money distribution
