NBC News reported on January 12 that Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland had been charged in Orange County with one crime of domestic abuse with corporal harm and one count of false detention by threat, violence, fraud, or deceit.

The accusations were centered on a supposedly happened in 2020 while he was dating an unidentified Jane Doe.
In 2020, he was released after entering a not-guilty plea and posting a $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court once more on April 27 after having previously attended several pretrial sessions.
Recently, Rick and Morty’s production company, Adult Swim, declared on Tuesday that they are breaking up their relationship with Roiland in light of the allegations and the pending trial.
However, since this whole fiasco started, victim Jane Doe has become the talk of the town with many people trying to find out more about her. So, here’s what we know about her:
Who is Jane Doe?
Jane Doe is infamous for being an alleged ex-girlfriend of the co-creator of Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland. She has been in the news because she recently filed a case of domestic violence against Justin Roiland.
However, her background is unknown. According to court records obtained by NBC, she later accused him of domestic abuse based on a January 2020 incident.
He was detained in August 2020 as a result of her accusation, was given a $50,000 bond, and was then charged in October 2020. A protection order prohibiting Roiland from approaching Jane Doe, a claimed victim, within 100 feet was filed in October 2020.
In the past, Roiland’s followers have accused him of acting in a predatory manner, citing instances that occurred when they were still minors. The victims allege that Roiland used his position to get in touch with kids on social media.
