Max Verstappen spoke about the F1 tittle battle this season and dwelt upon his competitor Lewis Hamilton
Back after the summer shutdown, F1 is all set to see the feisty and extremely competitive rivalry between Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen renew this weekend. Both the drivers will be locking heads in the Belgian Grand Prix as either strives to rake up pivotal points in what is transpiring into the most closely contested season of Formula 1.
Speaking ahead of the race with practice starting on Friday, Max Verstappen talked about his and Hamilton’s battle for the top spot. He talked about how he believed Hamilton’s sprawling experience in the land of the competition held little weightage and gave the Brit no advantage.

Verstappen said that he believes the only sizable advantage any driver can have is owing to a colossal superiority in the car.
“Personally, I don’t think so,” Verstappen said when asked if he though Hamilton had an edge due to his experience.
“The only advantage you can really have is just if you have a faster car. In this sport, it’s so dominant when you have a really good car.
“There’s so many good drivers in this sport but they don’t have the opportunity to fight at the front. We had a lot of good races, just the last two didn’t go our way (for reasons} out of our control,” Verstappen said.
Red Bull driver Verstappen who is currently bidding for his maiden world championship held a behemoth 32 point lead over Lewis Hamilton at the start of July ensuing the Austrian Grand Prix. However, things have been quick to wane for him since with a crash at Silverstone and a ninth-place finish in Hungary seeing him fall eight points behind Lewis Hamilton.
And with Hamilton having played malicious roles on both the occasions to deter Verstappen’s race, the Belgian GP is bound to make for an intoxicating brew.
