Lionel Messi is all set to mark his Ligue 1 debut with PSG when the club takes on Reims next weekend
Even prior to sealing the services of Lionel Messi, PSG had ended up with a slew of worldclass players during the summer transfer window. Adding Messi was the cherry to their cake, a signing which has taken the world of football with aplomb ever since.
With Barcelona failing to offer him a new contract owing to the La Liga salary cap and Barcelona’s immense debt, Messi knew his future lay elsewhere. His era at Barcelona was finally over, an illustrious career which had seen him earn the moniker of the best player in the world over the last decade.
He was quick to switch to Ligue 1 side PSG with his previous Barcelona counterpart, Neymar playing a massive role in that move. Also, with the French side being among one of the elusive clubs in the world at the moment to accord Messi his staggering wages and salary, the Argentine decided to ply his wares for the Paris based club.
However, ever since he’s signed for the club, Messi is yet to step out onto the pitch for the side. He wasn’t present in the squad for the club’s 4-2 win against Brest to leave the club’s supporters wait for a glimpse of the G.O.A.T continue.
