Her real name is Assíria Seixas Lemos. She was born in Londrina, Parana, Brazil on February 1, 1960. Later, she lived in the USA for 18 years. She studied Theology and Psychology.
She married two times. However, nothing much is known about her first husband except that she has a daughter named Gemina with him. In 1994, she married legendary footballer Pelé; they were married until 2008. Together, they are parents of two kids named Joshua and Celeste. After being married for 14 years, they divorced each other in 2008.
She is currently 62 years old.
Her Career
Assíria Nascimento sang as a soloist in a choir of a Protestant church. She began her career as a vocalist in 2000, releasing two CDs that year. She published the CD Ao Mundo Deus Amou through MK Music in November 2001. Additionally, she is also a member of the Baptist Church.
She was nominated for the Dove Awards, the highest honor in worldwide gospel music, for the CD “Brillas,” which won in the category “Spanish Album of the Year” with the help of skin.
