She asks if he shares her ambition to be wealthy, and when she is shocked to hear that he prefers to remain average, she wonders if this is because he belongs to a wealthy family. He confides in her about his own experiences as a child and the problems he faced.
Returning to the present, Su-Yeong is asking Sang-us about the dinner date and reminds him that she watched everything. She questions him about why he dated her, whether he felt poorly of her, and whether her lifestyle bothered him. Sang-Su is forced by her inquiries to correct her chain of logic; yet, he paused for a different reason. He took her seriously, thus he didn’t choose to date her casually. He states that after barely a minute of hesitation, he went to her, but she had long left.
