Punjab Kings secured Sam Curran’s services by paying a whopping Rs 18.8 crore. Cameroon Green and Ben Stokes are the other two players on the list of the most expensive players in the IPL 2023. Aside from players, teams have made specific changes, particularly in coaching and staff members.

Punja Kings will have an entirely new coaching staff. Following the departure of Anil Kumble and his support staff, Trevor Bayliss will take over as coach for the upcoming season. The Chennai Super Kings have appointed Ryan ten Doeschate as their new fielding coach, while L Balaji will lead the bowling line. Mumbai Indians have also appointed Zaheer Khan and Mahia Jayawardene to the positions of global head of cricket development and global head of performance. Gautam Gambhir, the team mentor, has also been appointed as a global mentor by Lucknow Super Giants. Brian Lara has replaced Tom Moody as the new head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
