Remi Tiffin has done every job on the Formula 1 track and has come a long way since joining the Formula 1 team Renault back in 1999. His first experience of motor racing came a year before that as a race engineer for Formula 3 team Signature.
Remi quickly climbed the stairs up the hierarchy of the Formula 1 team Renault impressing everybody with his determination and hunger to take his team on the top. He was chief of the power unit division at the Viry-Chatillon HQ for the team and became the Engine Technical Director in 2016 when Renault returned to Formula 1 as a full constructor.

Alpine Renault cruised into the summer break securing their first-ever win in the Formula 1 at the Hungarian Grand Prix with the help of Estaban Ocon who also enjoyed his first victory in the Formula 1 calendar.
However, news broke in the second week of the summer break that long time serving member of the Renault Formula 1 team Remi Taffin has decided to leave the team on a mutual agreement. Meanwhile, Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi, Racing Director Davide Brivio and Executive Director Marcin Budkowski are managing the team ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix weekend.

Remi has worked with a lot of big names on the Formula 1 circuit and has a lot of on-track experience because of spending so much time on the circuit. He has worked as a race engineer for Formula 1 World Champions Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso enjoying days of glory with both the drivers.
Taffin has worked closely on the performance of the car over the past 20 years in order to optimize the power unit to extract the maximum pace available. He possesses a lot of technical knowledge of the sport and will be a good addition to any team.
Rumours suggest that he is on the verge of joining RedBull who are the arch-rivals of Alpine Renault in Formula 1. It will be interesting to see how the story unfolds when Formula 1 returns from the summer break.
