India is set to host the 3rd Blind T20 World Cup 2022 beginning on the 5th of December, know its points table and schedule
The 3rd Blind T20 World Cup will kick off on the 5th of December and conclude on the 17th of December.
The Blind T20 World Cup was first played back in 2012. The tournament was hosted by India only. In the inaugural blind World Cup India defeated Pakistan by 29 runs in the finals at Bengaluru’s Academy Ground.

Defending champions India are yet again the favorites to lift the trophy
The 2nd edition of the tournament was played in 2017. India hosted that World Cup as well. 10 teams played 48 matches to decide the winner at the end. India defeated Pakistan in the finals to become 2 times champions of the Blind T20 World Cup.
The final match was played in the iconic stadium of M Chinnaswami. Pakistan posted a formidable score of 197 runs on the board in the finals but Indian batters manage to chase down the score on the last ball of their innings. They chased down the total with 9 wickets in hand but the match was one of the most interesting ones.
To date, India has hosted all the major tournaments of Blind Cricket.
3rd Blind T20 World Cup to kick off on the 5th of December
The tournament will begin with an opening ceremony in Gurugram’s Tau Devi all-indoor stadium. All 6 teams will have a flag march in the stadium before the start of the tournament.
India, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, South Africa, and Nepal are the six teams participating in the tournament. The 2 times runner-up Pakistan will not be taking part in the tournament.
The tournament will be played in 9 cities in India to make people aware of world disability day.
How is Blind cricket played?
Blind cricket includes 11 players in one team as usual but in Blind cricket, there is a certain criteria. In one team at least four players should be completely blind, three players should be partially blind, and up to four partially sighted players.
The ball used in the Blind Cricket is slightly bigger in size and it makes noise as it has a bearing inside. The ball is made up of plastic.
