However, that insatiable thirst for the gold was finally quenched on Saturday when Neeraj Chopra ended up throwing a gold medal winning 87.58m in javelin throw. The subsequent visuals lifted the chest of every Indian as the national anthem was blared across the stadium at the medal ceremony.
