Winston who is a French bulldog bagged the top spot at the 21st annual National Dog Show 2022 which was presented by Purina, know his owner and pedigree

As per Purnia, around 20 million spectators have watched Winston take the Best in the Show title at the National Dog Show 2022. This was hosted by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia and with his handler Perry Payson of Bixby in Oklahoma, Winston beat out hundreds of other dogs from numerous breeds to achieve the grand prize.

“He is a show dog with amazing personality and beauty and a perfect fit for the breed,” Vicki Seiler Cushman, this year’s 2022 National Dog Show’s Best In Show judge, stated in a statement stated. “He has a razzle-dazzle that states, ‘ He is there to achieve tonight.’ You can just tell that he can also go home and be the perfect pet,” he further added.

Winston is just 3 year old cream-colored French bulldog. The dog is the first French bulldog who has achieved the Best in Show title since the show became part of NBC’s Thanksgiving Day lineup in 2022.

Winston came into the contest ranked the 1 number which is an all-breed canine in the United States. His ownership group has NFL player Morgan Fox. Winston’s competition name is The War at Gold Shield.

The breeds of French bulldogs have increased in popularity in the last few years. In the United States, they were the No 1 breed. In both years 2021 as well as 2020 they were second to Labrador retrievers. They have held the number 1 position since 1991, as of American Kennel Club registrations for purebred dogs. Winston did his part to make the breed see few of more years at the top spot of the list.

It was first shown in 2002, on 28th November, and distributed by NBC sportscast John O Hurley. More than 3000 canines contested in the show for getting best show honors at the kennel club of Philadelphia’s annual event. Tickets were valid for admission during show hours for the show date selected.
