In accordance with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), late Wednesday night, Sarath Reddy, the Director of Aurobindo Pharma along with Benoy Babu of Pernod Ricard was detained.
His home had already been investigated by the investigation team, and he had been interrogated twice.
Aurobindo Pharma stated in an exchange filing that it had learned Sarath Reddy had been detained by the enforcement directorate. According to Reuters, the corporation did not reply to a request for information regarding the arrest.

Sarath Reddy is a well-known Indian business. He is known for being one of the directors of a renowned pharmaceutical business named Aurobindo Pharma. He has been in the news because he was recently arrested by Enforcement Directorate under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
His full name is P Sarath Chandra Reddy. He is from Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

Sarath Reddy, Director of Aurobindo Pharma, was detained on Thursday by the Enforcement Directorate as part of a money laundering investigation into suspected anomalies in the now-scrapped liquor policy of the Delhi Government.
According to ED sources, Reddy played a key role in the cartelization of licenses and helped to advance bribes throughout the whole liquor licensing process.
