Following the ban, there were rumors swirling around suggesting that the internet personality would be competing in a boxing fight soon.
At the time, many people believed that these rumored contenders would be YouTuber KSI and The True Geordie.
These rumors started to rise when Tate and Geordie started to have an on-and-off beef online which escalated the situation.
Though Tate is a former kick-boxer, he never confirmed he is planning to return for another fight.
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Youtuber has now decided to answer the fans as he was asked when his and Tate fights were going to happen.
In a recent live-show, Geordie’s co-host pointed out Tate’s religion as he stated, “God on his side now.”
Following this, the YouTuber replied, Andrew should “blow himself up” and prove how committed he is to his religion.
Meanwhile, the co-host tried to point out that he is being stereotyped, however, Geordie didn’t turn around to his comment.
Andre Tate Came Forward
Followed the incident, Andrew came forward and now responded to the remarks made by Geordie as he said, “He’s very insulting, fat, vulgar, he’s a d******d, and an unlikeable person. He’s not very smart, he’s stupid.”
Tate further added, “Now after me converting to Islam, he made a piece on one of his podcasts saying I’m not true in my conversion, and then insulted all Muslims.”
The 35-year-old former professional kick-boxer continued, “Let me tell you something my friend, and True Geordie if you are watching this, this is a message directly to you.
He ended his statement by saying that Geordie shouldn’t have “insulted” Islam by making “ignorant jokes about blowing ourselves up.”
Geordie Apologize After Being Trolled Online
After Tate’s statement, the whole situation escalated even more, and Geordie received a lot of backlash online.
Not just this, as per a report by The Independent, Gymshark has also cut their ties with the influencer.
The social media personality is now reportedly becoming the centre of troll. Following all this, he came forward to apologize for the remarks he had made.
In his statement Geordie expressed, “I made a joke in questioning that ‘newfound faith’ of his, that conveniently comes at a time when he needs as many supporters as he can get. It was a stupid joke.”
He continued, “Obviously, I don’t believe that’s what Muslims actually do… It was a very stupid thing to say. It was an idiotic joke, one I’m sorry for.”
