Mauro Forghieri was born in Modena, Italy, on January 13, 1935. After World War II, he spent a lot of his childhood and teen years in Maranello, where his father worked at Scuderia Ferrari. In the end, Forghieri went to the University of Bologna and got a degree in mechanical engineering in 1959. It is said that Enzo Ferrari paid for his college expenses.
