The Ministry of the Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, the Indian government is organizing its 7th edition of India Water Week from 1st November to 5th November with the motive to make people aware to use fewer water resources and in an integrated manner. The President of the nation Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the 7th edition of India Water Week at the India Expo Centre which is based in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh on 1st November 2022.
“Clean Drinking water will be a challenge in some years. The issue of using water is multifaceted and complex for which the efforts are required by all people,” President stated. The Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has also declared the vision of making sure 100% water availability all across the nation by year 2024.
Sustainable And Equitable Water Management
This 5 days long event is all set to bring together experts, planners and stakeholders from all around the world. The main target is to build action plans and also address issues for the sustainability of water resources and development as well. Moreover, it also aims for a management system in accordance with sustainable development goals. “Water Security for Sustainable Development and Equity” is this year’s theme.
The event has four Technical Sessions including 10 seminars, 10 panels discussions, Events organized by the Ministry of Jal Shakti and CWC, NMCG, NRCD, NWM and many more.

The Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. Ministers of State for Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel and Bishweswar Tudu also made their presence at the IWW-2022.
Denmark, Singapore and Finland are also among the partnering countries for India Water Week. The program has hosts conferences with seminars, panel discussions, side events, exhibitions and cultural programs. The exhibitors can showcase their ideas to all potential visitors. So the promotional opportunities are quite high as a number of qualified visitors are going to take part in Water Week this year.
