Mahindra is once again making us all go wild as the brand is all set to schedule its Kabira Festival 2022 edition on the historical ghats of Varanasi, know the dates, time and schedule
As per the official website of Mahindra Kabira Festival, the 2022 edition will take place at the ghats of Varanasi from November 18th to 20th, 2022.
This year’s festival edition will celebrate the 15th century mystic poet Kabir.

Previously, due to its continued sustainability initiatives the festival has received a ‘Platinum Level Green Event Certification’ from Yale University.
In its past editions the festival has spread the philosophy of clean environment, preservation, and sustainability. It has also ensured the green practices while avoiding usage of plastic.
Since the past few years, the festival has been taking several measures on different aspects to maintain the Green practices and sustainability.
Due to their continued effective waste management program, more than 80% of the festival’s waste has been reduced or diverted away from the local landfills.
The Vice President and Head of Cultural Outreach, Mahindra, & Mahindra Ltd, Jay Shah, in a recent statement said, “The sustainability initiatives undertaken by the Mahindra Group cover a wide spectrum.
He further added, “Through the Mahindra Kabira Festival, we intend to increase awareness about the environment, climate change, and the vitality of a greener tomorrow.
Alike previous editions, this year’s will also procure color coded dustbins and garbage bags along with venue clean-up and moving trash bags.
Mahindra Kabira Festival 2022 Day Wise Events
As per the official website of the festival, on its first day the festival will see only 2 events.
The event will begin on November 18th with an Opening reception as Ganga Aarti at around 6.00 – 6.45 PM on Guleria Ghat.
Later, the attendees will see another event called Santoor- Tabla jugalbandi, where artist Kumar Sarang & Pt. Lalit Kumar will be showcasing their performance.
It will be held around 7:45 – 8:30 PM on Guleria Ghat.
On its 2nd Day
The Morning will begin with Music, Dhrupad Kabir, by Ashish Kumar Jaiswal at around 8.00 AM – 8:45 AM on Guleria Ghat.
In Afternoon, there will be an Art conversation by Anubhav Nath (Ojas Art) at around 11.30 – 12.00 PM on Guleria Ghat.
In Evening, there will be a event called The Little Flower House School at around 06.30 PM – 06.45 PM on Shivala Ghat.
Followed by that another event will be held called Dohè jo Mohè by The Ishara Puppet Theatre & Soulë Band at around 07.00 – 07:45 PM on Shivala Ghat.
At around 8.00 – 8:45 PM, another event will be held called Anahat: a symphonic poem by Pt. Shubhendra Rao and Maestro Saskia Rao -de Haas on Shivala Ghat.
The last event of the second day will be held at around 9:00 -9:45 PM, the event is called Aruna Sairam, traditional Carnatic performance. It will be held on Shivala Ghat.
On Its Final Day
The event will start with Morning Music called Water / Ice by Rama Sundar Ranganathan at around 07:00 AM – 07:45 AM on Guleria Ghat.
Followed by another Musical event called Untouched Music of Banaras by Pandit Vikash Maharaj at around 08.00 AM – 08:45 AM on Guleria Ghat.
In the Afternoon, there will be Dastan e Kabir
Fouzia Dastango at around 11.30 AM – 12.00 PM on Guleria Ghat
The second event of the afternoon is called ‘सुनो भाई साधो’ [Suno Bhai Sadho / Listen Bro Practice] by Umesh Kabir at around 12.00 PM – 12.30 PM on Guleria Ghat.
In the Evening, there will be event W. H. Smith Memorial School at around 06.30 AM – 06.45 PM on Shivala Ghat.
Followed by The Tapi Project at around 07.00 PM – 07:45 PM on Shivala Ghat.
Following by Jasleen Aulakh at around 08.00 PM – 08:30 PM on Shivala Ghat.
The final event of the final day will be held around 08.45 PM – 09:30 PM, which is termed as The Raghu Dixit Project. It will be held on Shivala Ghat.
