India was in deep trouble as at one point it needed 48 off 18 balls to win the game with only 5 wickets in hand. Virat Kohli showed his class and stood there till the final delivery. His outstanding 82 runs sealed India a famous victory over their arch-rivals Pakistan.
Virat Kohli himself rated this knock as one of his best ever. The tears in Kohli’s eyes were clearly evident at the end of the game. Kohli and Hardik Pandya made 113 run stand which shifted the momentum towards India’s way.
After the game, Hardik Pandya was seen in tears as he wish his father was there to see this game. Hardik’s father died due to a Heart attack in 2021. In an interview with Jatin Sapru and Irfan Pathan after the game Pandya got emotional and couldn’t hold his tears.
